Both made from thick – 6mm – burgundy red leather and each measuring 21 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. Like the original Glasgow Tawse, it has three tails.

The London Tanner Glasgow Tawse is replicated from those used in schools in Scotland until the early ’70s. Applied to the hand or buttocks, it is most effective when used on bare skin. It is quite rigid but will become more flexible over time.
