The old-style school desks were uncomfortable to begin with, but with a sore, rosy, switched bottom the wooden seat is unbearable. One young lady will soon be sitting uncomfortably upright with a new and improved attitude toward her education. That is exactly how I gotten raised at home in Georgia: panties down & the cane to my bare botty. The rattan switch was kept in the cupboard for sister & me throughout childhood. Mom was the chief hiney-whooper ! CP at school was over clothes with the paddle. I never gotten punished at school only in my strict, religious family at home in the 1960s. Love your Blog, Miss Jenn.
